When cleaning staff commence work they swipe their mobile device against a barcode that registers their start time and also reminds them of tasks due that day, which they sign off after completion. At shifts end they swipe the barcode again which records their finish time. This is complemented by a weekly digital site audit conducted by a supervisor which includes notes, photographs and a site rating. All of the above data is available to Gen2 supervisors as well as clients through a secure client portal.
Knowing what tasks are to be performed and when they are due for completion is too important to leave to memory or paper-based systems. Gen2’s application-based site management systems alert cleaners, supervisors and client representatives as to what tasks are due, when they are due and also the timeframe for completion. Furthermore, the alerts from the software are backed by a shared calendar between Gen2 and the client.
