Gen2 services was called out to Macarthur Tavern on Wednesday, July 15 to perform emergency cleaning after a patron who attended the venue tested positive for COVID-19.
We have a dedicated, purpose-trained in COVID-19 outbreak cleaning team that to date have performed outbreak cleaning at health and aged care sites as well as educational facilities, but this was the first time we have been called out to clean a hotel.
Gen2’s Director, Danny Fildissis says that ‘Our trained team are specialists in infection control and use a proven approach mandated by the NSW Department of Health.’
Process for COVID-19 Outbreak Cleaning
- Fogging using TGA approved disinfectant.
- Manual cleaning using disinfectants based on cleaning guidelines approved by the Clinical Excellence Commission.
- Bio clean all surfaces and touchpoints using Zoono. This creates a protective (disinfection) barrier that lasts on surfaces for up to 9 days.
‘We have a large reserve of grade 5/6 full body Hazmat suits, phase 3 masks as well as other required PPE. We only use TGA approved disinfectants and have a full inventory of fogging machines and related cleaning equipment,’ says Fildissis.
‘Given what has happened in Victoria, business and organizations need to have an Outbreak Management Plan in place and a qualified cleaner like Gen2 to call should the worst happen,’ he concluded.
